Work continues to progress well at Citadel Leisure Centre. The Roof Works were completed in April 2025, and the new Entrance Façade works continue to be the main priority which is on track to be completed by October 2025. 

The Façade steel, Roof Edge, Masonry Infill & Scaffolding are now complete with works progressing well on the Steel Frame.

In addition to the new Entrance and Facade work that’s ongoing, essential upgrades are also underway behind the scenes. We’re replacing key pool plant equipment, including the circulation pumps that keep water moving through our filtration system. These upgrades help ensure our swimming pools remain clean, clear, and comfortable for all our customers.

This investment involves the replacement of circulation pumps to the Main Pool, Flexi Pool and Teaching Pool. The work is due to commence at the beginning of September and is expected to be complete by the end of October 2025.
