Swimming

Warsop Health Hub will be home to a new 15m by 8m swimming pool, with a splash play area for younger children. We are currently looking at what water features and wet-play equipment will be included in the play area.

The Warsop Health Hub has been designed, part funded and constructed under Sport England’s Leisure Local concept. This concept combines water activity space with health and fitness provision that is efficient and accessible. It allows flexibility to respond to local needs and priorities – for example, programmes to encourage healthier lifestyles, improving health outcomes, reducing social exclusion and increasing participation in target groups.

Swimming pools are natural hubs within local neighbourhoods and contribute significantly to feelings of place and a community, as well as improving physical and mental wellbeing. The provision of this compact water space provides an excellent way to extend Swim England’s approach to water wellbeing and deliver learn to swim lessons.

The swimming pool has been designed with accessibility in mind, including a pool hoist and a new changing village with accessible changing places.

The pool will also be able to be viewed clearly from the Cafe viewing area.

Fitness

A brand new fitness suite will be installed at Warsop Health Hub with the latest cardiovascular and resistance equipment.

Food and beverage

We are looking to compliment the new hub with the inclusion of a suitable food and beverage offering that will provide a range of healthy food, drink and snacks. The new Cafe area will have a viewing gallery for the swimming pool and plenty of seating.

Sports and community

A brand new multi-use games area (MUGA) will be installed, along with an indoor two-court multipurpose hall with dividable curtain. There will also be a multipurpose meeting / community space.
